TECHNICAL QUESTIONS:
What are the technical tips for shooting videos?
Why won't my video upload when I try to submit it to Associated Content?

What are the guidelines for creating questions?

  1. When asking your question, begin by saying: "Hi, I'm (first and last name) from (city and, state) and my question for you is." And then ask the question.
  2. All questions must begin with either the word "What" or "Who".
  3. You should keep your question under 25 words.
  4. Your video should not contain the answer to your question.

How can I submit a question if I cannot upload here?
You may also submit a question either on mini DV or as a .mov quicktime file on DVD. Please remember we are not responsible for lost, damaged, or misdirected tapes. You may submit more than one question on a single videocassette or DVD. All submissions sent by mail must be accompanied by a signed release form for anyone appearing on camera. The form can be downloaded from our website. Please include you name, address, two phone numbers and email address with your submission so we can contact you if you win. Tapes become the property of WSP Ent. and will not be returned.

What happens when you receive my tape?
Once the TP America Plays tape library receives your tape, it is assigned a unique identification number. If your question meets all of the technical and creative guidelines as described on our site, it will be entered into our database and eligible for possible inclusion in a show.

Can I appear on the show more than once asking a question?
Yes. It pays to ask a few questions because you may get to appear on more than one show. For web submissions you must upload each question as a separate file, and there is a limit of 3 per day or 5 per week. Mailed submissions are limited to

Why would my question be rejected?
Questions that do not follow the technical and creative guidelines outlined on the site may be rejected. Reasons questions are rejected include: 1) Poor lighting/unviewable image quality; 2) Question has more than one possible answer; 3) Poor audio quality; 4) Question is not clearly stated; 5) Question takes longer than 20 seconds; 6) Question is too obscure and not fair. 7) Question is in bad taste or not suitable for family viewing.

What is the status of my tape?
Your release form and a copy of your question will remain in our system indefinitely. When we build shows, we are constantly reviewing and reconsidering questions that have come to us since day one. Therefore, it is very possible that your question will find it's way into a show, even if you haven't heard from us in a while. We accept questions while production is on hiatus. If your question arrives while we are on hiatus, it will be considered once production resumes.

Will you notify me if you decide to air my question?
Once we know your question is going to appear in a show, we will attempt to contact you and notify you of the airdate. We will contact you the first time a clip is aired, but not for re-runs or subsequent airings. In order for us to contact you in a timely manner, please keep us up to date with your current address, phone numbers and email address by using the "update my information" feature on our site.

What happens if I'm on America's Team and we win?
If America's Bank is higher than the studio bank at the very end of the show you appear on, then you are eligible to split the money in America's Bank with all of the other questioners who appeared on that show. We will contact you to let you know if you were on a winning team, and we will send you a prize form and W-9 form to fill out. These forms MUST be filled out and returned to us in order to process your payment. Anyone who does not complete the required paperwork will forfeit their share of any prize money.

How can I become America's Team Captain?
For each show, one member of "America's Team" is selected by the show's Producers to be "America's Team Captain" and represent the team by engaging with our host and studio players on camera throughout the game. To be considered as "America's Captain" you must be well spoken, at ease on camera, and you must have submitted a question to the show. Additionally, all Captains must be in Los Angeles, and will be shot in connection with our studio taping.

How do I obtain tickets to a taping of the show?
